The high-quality woven hammam towel from our Comtesse series is made of pure cotton and is wonderfully suitable as a bath towel and beach towel as well as for fitness and sauna. Hammam towels are characterized by their lightness and special absorbency. They are also soft and dry quickly.
Comtesse is woven in small diamond patterns and therefore has a soft but robust structure. This model is only available in black.
What is a hammam towel?
A hammam towel , Peshtemal (Turkey) or Fouta (Tunisia) is a cotton towel that is traditionally used in the Turkish steam bath, i.e. hammam. It is particularly characterized by its durability, lightness and absorbency. The quick drying is another advantage.
In the present, the hammam towel has meanwhile made a place for itself in various places. There are no limits for your creativity. We see the colorful towels on beaches, pools, sports studios, in bathrooms, wellness facilities and cosmetic studios as well as in home decoration.
All towels from NUNU DESIGN are made of 100% cotton and are tested according to Oeko-Tex Standard 100. Our hammam towels are produced in Turkey.
Hammam towels are basically easy to care for. Although they are washed after production, we recommend placing the cloth in cold water for twelve hours beforehand. This increases the absorbency and prevents them from shrinking. In principle, the cloths can be washed at 40 °. Washing at 60 ° is also possible, but you should expect the cloth to shrink a little. A hammam towel becomes softer and more beautiful with each wash.
Depending on the production, it is possible that strings are occasionally pulled. These threads can be carefully cut.
We recommend that you wash the cloths gently at 40 ° and with similar colors.

We ship daily on working days from our warehouse near Munich. All orders placed by 11 a.m. are usually dispatched on the same day.
